Why CAT Exam?
Certain skill sets are, however, inevitable to crack this exam. These have been listed below:
Knowledge
It might sound unbelievable, but you would be amazed at how many students don’t study all the subjects they will have to face in CAT. Either the lack of knowledge of the subject or wrong practice of studies and preparation can be blames for this. Let’s not allow this to happen to us!
Practice
This does not mean that you are not aware of the subject, but practice keeps you alert!
Practice upon quality questions which are usually non repetitive. Solving mock tests and previous years’ tests will also add up to more practice!
Concepts
If you find yourself not good enough in any area, it means (in most of the cases) that you have NOT solved similar questions before. Take this as a challenge! Go through the concepts and solve the questions. This will widen your horizon of knowledge. Remember, a question is difficult only if you are seeing it for the first time…if you practice well after that!
Build Strategies
By the time the official exam rolls around, you should have your general CAT strategy all set. How many questions will you attempt based on how accurate you are and what your score goal is.
Be Quick
To get faster and complete your strategy, time yourself and start with solving sets of problems and as you progress give yourself lesser and lesser time to solve problems! This process can take a few weeks or even a few months, but it pays off big in the end.
