Blood Donation is service to Humankind, By Donating Blood you help a needy and save a precious life. While about 38% of the population qualifies to give blood, according to Red Cross less than 10% are actually donating. Numbers are even lower in the rest of the world, with some countries relying mostly on blood from people that ask money for their gesture. Because of the constant need for blood and the fact that supply can be at alarmingly low levels more often than not, blood collecting organisations are trying to reach as many possible donors they can.
The objectives of the program:
- To create awareness about Blood Donation in the village.
- To invite the villagers for Blood Donation Camp in IIBS College on 21st July 2018.
To make a small contribution to the same, on 19th July 2018, Blood Donation Awareness Program was conducted by IIBS College, PGDM 2018-20 batch students in B.K Palliya Village. The students were accompanied by three faculties Dr. H Prabhakar, Dr. A Prakash and Asst. Prof. Rubina Chettri. Students drew pictures in charts and pasted all over the village to aware villagers and invite them to the college for the camp. The village people actively participated in the awareness program and agreed to come to IIBS College for Blood Donation Camp on 21st July 2018.
The first step towards donation is to make people realize that giving blood is giving life. There are many needy people who seek for blood. If people donate blood then only the needy will get. Who knows you may need it someday. So please donate blood and save one’s life.
