Marking the first launch mission of the year 2022, the Indian Space Research Organisation's earth observation satellite EOS-04 and two small satellites were successfully placed into the intended orbit by the PSLV-C52 rocket on Monday, a feat described by the ISRO as a "marvelous accomplishment".

5. The much-talked-about LICIPO is set to hit the capital market in March. The government will sell over 31 crore equity shares of LIC according to the draft red herring prospectus.

The DRHP of LIC IPO has been filed today with the SEBI," Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey tweeted. 
The government aims to come out with the IPO and subsequent listing of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) on bourses by March. A portion of the IPO would be reserved for anchor investors. Also, up to 10 percent of the LIC IPO issue size would be reserved for policyholders.

8. Fed bank Financial services Limited (Fed Fina) has filed the draft red herring prospectus (DHRP)for its IPO with SEBI 

The IPO includes a fresh issue of aggregating up to Rs 900 crore and OFS of up to 45,714,286 equity shares by the company's promoter and investor according to DHRP.

11. IIT Roorkee launches KISAN mobile to send agricultural advice


IIT Roorkee under Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa's (GKMS) project has launched the ‘KISAN’ mobile app for dissemination of Agromet Advisory Services. KISAN app created by IIT Roorkee Dr. K K Singh, Additional Director General Meteorology, IMD, New Delhi apprised that the block-level weather forecast and weather-based Agromet Advisory Bulletins are being provided to the farmers for all six blocks of Haridwar district by the AMFU Roorkee every Tuesday and Friday regularly. Farmers can now easily access these bulletins on their mobile phones through the 'Kisan' App. He said that the special feature of the 'KISAN' App is that the weather forecast and advisory bulletin will be displayed only for the block selected by the farmer

12. PLI scheme for the auto industry to create 7.5 lakh jobs in next 5 years

The PLI scheme for the auto industry and auto components sector will lead to the creation of 7.5 lakh additional jobs over the next five years. As per a top official, the PIL scheme or the Production Linked Incentives Scheme for the automobile and auto components sector will lead to the creation of 7.5 lakh additional jobs along with an incremental production worth Rs 2,31,500 crore over the next five years. Among the 20 companies that will be eligible for receiving incentives under the PIL scheme are Ford, Tata Motors, Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, and Mahindra and Mahindra.

The group -- which will be competing head-on with Mukesh Ambani's digital business, Amazon, and the Walmart-owned Flipkart -- will be making announcements on how it goes about the job in the coming months, Bansal said, speaking at the annual NTLF event. The Tata group has consumer-facing brands like Titan, Tanishq, Westside, Zara, Chroma, Taj Hotels, Tata Sky and now commands a 35-market share with three airline brands. "We have a lot of these assets and a huge number of consumers who overlap significantly with pretty much all the people who spend money online in the country. The group has a brand, relationship, and deep pedigree of expertise across a much broader spectrum of category and that is what gives us a right to play," Bansal said. "The whole endeavor of Tata Digital is how do we bring all these assets together and stitch a unified value proposition," he added without elaborating.

15. Investor losses in Paytm, Nykaa, PB & Zomato mount to Rs 1.3L Cr since Day 1

Paytm has lost nearly two-thirds of its value as the IPO at issue price had sought a valuation of about Rs 1.39 lakh crore. Investor patience is being put to the test, as earnings misses, supposedly rich valuations and a sharp fall in technology stocks globally sent shares of a few new-age companies tumbling on Dalal Street. The sentiment is so fragile that four companies, namely One 97 Communications (Paytm), FSN E-Commerce (Nykaa), Zomato, and PB Fintech (Policy bazaar), who together commanded Rs 3.58 lakh crore in market value on Day 1 of their listings, have eroded Rs 1.30 lakh crore worth of investor wealth so far. This is even as a few brokerages find the recent selloff unwarranted.

16. Maaza bigger than Coke with Rs 2,826 Cr sales in FY21, Limca at Rs 2,061 Cr 

Fruit drink brand Maaza had reported total sales of Rs 2,826 crore in FY21 in the domestic market, which is higher than the sales of Coke in India, according to a top company official. Limca, a lemon and lime-flavored carbonated soft drink brand, had recorded total sales of Rs 2,061 crore in FY21.
