SURFACE 2026 Celebrates Student Talent and Cultural Diversity at IIBS

Bengaluru, October 3, 2026: The International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS) hosted SURFACE 2026 – Talent Exhibition and Cultural Celebration at Puttanashetty Town Hall, Bengaluru, bringing together students, faculty members and dignitaries for a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity and cultural diversity.

The event opened with a digital presentation of SURFACE 2026, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and an invocation. Dr. M. Ketan, Principal – PGDM, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Tripuraneni Jaggaiah, Academic Director, addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of providing students with opportunities to develop their talents beyond academics. Dr. Jay Prakash, Chairman, IIBS, delivered the Presidential Address.

Mr. Amarjeet Kumar Gautam, Admission Director, and Mr. Vivek Chandrashekhar, Placement Head, were also present and encouraged the students participating in the various activities.
The event was sponsored by Mr. K. S. Pavan Sai, Founder and CEO of Busstand.com, whose support contributed to the successful conduct of the celebration. 

SURFACE 2026 featured a wide range of cultural performances and competitions, providing students from different programmes with opportunities to showcase their abilities. The cultural segment included music, dance, theatre, poetry, comedy and other forms of creative expression. The performances reflected the enthusiasm and confidence of the students and kept the audience engaged throughout the programme.

Alongside the cultural presentations, the event featured several competitions aimed at encouraging creativity, communication, managerial ability and innovation. These included the Best Manager Final Round, Debate, Adomania, Wealth out of Waste, Backdrop Design, Collage, Nail Art, Face Painting, Mehendi, Reel Making and Painting. Competitions such as Debate and Adomania tested students' communication and quick-thinking abilities, while the creative events allowed participants to express their imagination and artistic skills.

The Retro Walk and Ethnic Walk were among the celebration's highlights. The Retro Walk brought a nostalgic touch to the programme, while the Ethnic Walk showcased traditional attire and India's rich cultural heritage. Both events provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate confidence, presentation skills and creativity.

A special attraction of SURFACE 2026 was the recognition of students who excelled in various categories. Mansi Bennur was crowned Miss IIBS, while Mohit Gowda was awarded the title of Mr IIBS. Hritika Varma was recognised as Best Manager for her performance in the Best Manager competition.

Winners and runners-up were also recognised across several categories, including Rangoli, Business Plan, Wealth out of Waste, Backdrop Design, Collage, Nail Art, Face Painting, Debate, Adomania, Mehendi, Reel Making, Painting, Short Film, Pencil Sketch and Pick and Speak.
