The MBA Admission Bell Rings for Karnataka PGCET 2026 Students

On 28/07/2026 18:23:57

The Karnataka PGCET 2026 examination is over. Students now face a decision that can influence their education, skills, and career direction. The result will provide a rank, but the choice of business school will determine how effectively students use that opportunity.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority conducted the PGCET 2026 examination, and the result is expected shortly. The result will start the counselling and admission process. Candidates should verify their marks, rank, category and personal details on the scorecard. They should download and save multiple copies for document verification, option entry, seat allotment and admission.

KEA will release the counselling schedule, seat matrix and option-entry dates after announcing the results. Students must list their preferred MBA colleges in the correct order. Their rank, category, preferences and seat availability will determine the allotment.

This stage requires careful research. Students should compare colleges based on academic recognition, programme fees, practical learning, specialisations, placement support and industry exposure. A low fee alone does not guarantee value. The programme must also prepare students for professional responsibilities.

The International Institute of Business Studies, IIBS Bengaluru, is accepting Karnataka PGCET candidates for the MBA Batch 2026–28. The institute holds UGC Autonomous status, has received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation, and is affiliated with Bengaluru City University. The institute focuses on academic learning, practical management skills and career preparation.

The Bengaluru location gives students access to a strong corporate and startup ecosystem. The city is home to technology companies, multinational organisations, financial institutions and emerging enterprises. This environment helps students understand changing business practices and career opportunities.

Programme cost remains a major concern for students and families. Karnataka PGCET candidates who receive an allotment can pursue the two-year, full-time MBA at IIBS Bengaluru for a total fee of ₹4,45,000. Students must pay a minimum registration amount of ₹1,00,000 at the time of admission. The fee includes a laptop and international immersion, subject to attendance, academic performance, programme schedules and institutional conditions. No scholarship applies under this special PGCET fee structure.

Candidates without a PGCET allotment can apply through a separate admission category. The total two-year fee under this option is ₹5,45,000. Students must pay a minimum registration amount of ₹1,00,000. The fee also includes a laptop and international exposure under the applicable conditions. No additional scholarship is available under this category.

IIBS Bengaluru follows a 70% practical and 30% theoretical learning model. The programme gives students opportunities to apply management concepts in business situations. Students participate in live projects, internships, case studies, simulations, corporate workshops, industry visits and real-time assignments. These activities improve communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

The MBA programme offers dual specialisations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, Operations and Production Management, Entrepreneurship and Startups, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Dual specialisation allows students to study two functional areas. It can help them explore more roles and adapt to different industry requirements.

Placement preparation begins during the programme. Students receive support through aptitude training, mock interviews, group discussions, résumé development, communication sessions and corporate interactions. For the MBA Batch 2023–25, the highest reported package reached Rs. 48 LPA, while the average package stood at Rs. 8.75 LPA. More than 415 companies participated in the institute’s recruitment activities.

The placement process for the MBA Batch 2024–26 is in progress. Many students have already secured opportunities, and recruitment continues. Participating organisations include Amazon, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, TCS, Capgemini, HCLTech, Finastra, Brillio, S&P Global, Swiggy, Blinkit and BigBasket. These companies offer roles across consulting, technology, finance, analytics, e-commerce, marketing and operations.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 students should prepare their documents, follow KEA updates, and research colleges before option entry begins. With only limited MBA seats remaining at IIBS Bengaluru, delaying the admission decision may result in a missed opportunity. Students should act promptly to secure their preferred seat and begin a career-focused management journey.
