On the fifth day of MOM 2023, Dr. Cynthia Menezes Prabhu was invited by IIBS to lead a session for New students. "Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Gender Sensitization" was the topic of the session. The session began in the campus Seminar Hall. Principal Dr. Tripuraneni Jaggaiah greeted the guest and students and gave a brief introduction to the guest.

Dr. Cynthia Menezes Prabhu has a position with CBSMS, BUB, as a professor. She has an MBA, a Ph.D., and more than 25 years of teaching experience, of which 15 were spent at the post-graduation level. She successfully guided 13 doctorates in management. She has been published in a number of national and international journals.  She has given seminars on project management and media management for managers. She writes for newspapers, websites, and magazines as a columnist.  She has authored a book on “Operations Research”.  She is the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management at the moment. She also has the responsibilities of Nodal Officer for Bangalore University's Sexual Harassment Prevention Cell and Chairperson for Management Studies at the Jnana Bharathi campus.

Dr. Cynthia, imparted knowledge to the students regarding the significance of reducing sexual harassment and advancing gender awareness in both personal and professional settings. The goal of the session was to dispel preconceptions, increase awareness, and provide students with the skills and knowledge they needed to build inclusive and respectful environments.

PGDM students responded favorably to the program, engaging in lively discussions and activities. Students showed a dedication to advancing gender sensitivity and a heightened awareness of the challenges surrounding sexual harassment. Open discussions and a secure environment for exchanging questions and personal experiences were promoted during the session.

The favorable feedback that the students gave indicated how interesting the event was and how applicable it will be to their future responsibilities as business leaders.  Many said they were forced to consider their own actions and prejudices as a result of the session, and they valued the doable tactics offered for dealing with and avoiding sexual harassment.

The session was a significant step toward creating an inclusive, egalitarian, and respectful culture in the classroom. Through the provision of knowledge and tools to address these pressing concerns, the session helped to create more inclusive and safe settings for all future business leaders.
