Career Planning, a road map from college to the corporate world. An alumnus of our prestigious Institute International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS) Mr. Krishna Nandan, eight years of work experience and is currently in the post of a Senior Manager at Amazon visited our college for interacting with the students of the batch of PGDM 2019-21.

While interacting with the students he focused on the aspects of How to be a professional? He asked everybody to concentrate on the aspects of improving our communication skills, gaining knowledge on every topic as much as we can, improving our process of logical thinking and most importantly how to behave in the corporate world. Then he talked about our courses, to be more specified. He gave a wonderful view of on our specializations i.e. Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and Information Technology.

He suggested some tips  to improve communication skills- through continuous practice of writing, focusing on grammars, and the other way is spoken, which can be done by interacting with our friends who are from different regions and reading books as much as we can because proper communication is required in every stage of our corporate world from interview to daily works. Along with that students should also work on our aptitude test.

Additionally, students should also have proper knowledge of computer applications. This is so because companies prefer to hire students having computer knowledge along with the theoretical knowledge during interviews. The main focus is to be on Advanced Excel including thorough knowledge of macro and Visual Basics for Application (VBA) i.e. Data Analysis; Visualization Analysis which includes Tabular and Power Bi; Digital Marketing, etc.

In the end, he informed students to have an account on Linkedin which would be much beneficial for students to build a professional network.
