Posted by Prof. Mangala V Reddy On 09/08/2023 09:10:30

Bangalore, On the 6th day of the MOM for PGDM 2023 batch, Prof. Mangala V Reddy conducted a session aimed at enlightening students about the multifaceted journey of agriculture, cultivating respect for farmers' contributions to food production, and nurturing an understanding of the critical issue of food wastage.

The major goal of the session was to help students from ABM and all other educational streams realize the importance and advantages of farming and agriculture. The lesson began with a classroom practice where participants had to bring the materials needed to grow a crop on a half-acre plot of ground. The students were thereafter taken to a location close to the Amphitheatre to plant seeds. Methi seeds were planted in each group under the direction of an agriculture student, and recommendations and instructions were provided during the lesson.

This activity educated the students about agriculture, highlighted the efforts of farmers, and raised awareness about food wastage. Students gained insights into agribusiness management and the value of food producers. By actively participating and sharing their experiences, students contributed to the spread of awareness beyond the classroom. This initiative successfully met its objectives of promoting collaboration, introducing agribusiness management concepts, and fostering an appreciation for food producers.
