Is an MBA in marketing difficult?

MBA or Masters in Business Administration is a highly valued degree, not only in India but worldwide, to develop business skills and leadership qualities. 

The students who have taken up the MBA program would be choosing their specialization in their second year.  Many students would have been confused over choosing the specialization.  Students, especially from Science background who are not exposed to the subject Marketing, may have their own scepticism to choose their specialization in “Marketing”.

MBA in Marketing

It involves learning concepts to market a product or service of a company, whether hardware or software or consumable product to a wide variety of domestic or international populations.  In our life, on daily basis, we are using various products and services.  On what basis have we chosen a particular brand of product or service?  If we can get the answer, the same is applied when a product is designed and marketed to the end consumer.  

The subjects that are studied under Marketing specialization is easy to understand with a lot of case studies.  For e.g., why has Tata Nano failed in the Market and why Tata Nexon is a success story?.  The internship during MBA will help students to try out the marketing concepts in the real market situations themselves.  This will make them better understand whether the strategy they adopt would work or not.  The Marketing specialization would instil great confidence into students’ minds to come out with amazing products in future.
